1. Definitions.
"Makita-direct.co.uk" is the interactive online Makita tools, parts and accessories catalog and Makita information service operated and maintained by CBS Power Tools Ltd. (CBS), an independent Makita distributor. "Makita" is the trademark of, service mark of, and is copyright by Makita Corporation, and is used on Makita-direct.co.uk solely in description of Makita products, warranties and services they provide. No other connection exists, or is implied, between CBS and Makita. "User" means each person who accesses or establishes any type of network connection via the Internet or other means with Makita-direct.co.uk or the server(s) hosting it or any mirrors.
2. Liability.
CBS is not responsible for any injury sustained through the use of any tools purchased through CBS, whether the injury is incurred through use or misuse, delivery, storage, handling or mishandling. CBS is not responsible for any loss of business or livelihood due to any malfunction or misoperation of any tool purchased through CBS. It is the User's responsibility to observe safe and prudent tool-handling practices.
3. Access.
Users agree to in no way attempt to "hack" or otherwise gain unlawful access to our server, its files or directories, nor to copy the images, HTML code, layout or design of Makita-direct.co.uk, whether for personal or commercial use.
4. Warranty
we provide no warranty as to the suitability of any particular Makita tool to your needs; descriptions and specifications are intended as recommendations only, and are provided by Makita corp. we accept no responsibility for any consequence of your use of Makita tools, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, change in political parties or death. All tool warranty repair or replacement is solely the domain of Makita corp. Our responsibility is limited to replacement of tools or parts delivered in error or damaged in transit due to packing problems, or refund of purchase price, less shipping and a 15% restocking fee.
5. Fitness.
While we make every effort to help you determine which parts you need for repair of your Makita tool, we are not responsible for mis-ordered parts; if you order it, you pay for it.

CBS shall have the right at any time to change or discontinue any aspect or feature of Makita-direct.co.uk, including, but not limited to, content, hours of availability, and equipment needed for access or use.

Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse Makita-direct.co.uk, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

On placing an order, which includes saw-blades of any description, Age verification information needs to be emailed or faxed with order number before we can proceed with dispatch. Name on order must be the same as on identification sent which should be new photo style driving license or photo page on passport. This is to comply with government guidelines on the selling of blades to persons under the age of 18 years.

Shipping And Handling There is a standard £5.95 + vat shipping and handling charge on all orders under £100 +vat
All orders over £100 + vat are carriage paid,UK mainland only (except highlands Scotland)
For all orders outside the UK Mainland additional carriage charges will apply |
Delivery Schedule We will normally send your order to you in 3 business days. International orders are generally received in under 7 days.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received. |

All Makita UK tools are covered by One year manufacturer's warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage by incorrect use of the tool (by overloading, incorrect application, incorrect fuel mix etc).
Should a warranty repair be required, the tool complete with proof of purchase should be sent to an authorised service centre. The warranty is applicable to purchases and usage of the tools within the UK mainland.
